Kent started in Royal Rangers in 1976 as a Straight Arrow and continued until he reached Trailblazers.  As a commander, he has served as a commander from 1998 to the present at Tramway Community Church in Albuquerque, NM. He has been involved with the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship where he is currently a Wilderness member. He currently serves as the chapter vice president for the Jedediah Strong Smith Chapter and as the scribe for the Plainsmen Territory.
