Rick Adkinson has been in Royal Rangers since 1969; nine of those years as a boy and the remainder as a leader. While a boy, he earned his Gold Medal of Achievement (#261). Prior to his appointment as the regional training coordinator, he served in various positions in Royal Rangers: regional public relations coordinator, district training coordinator, sectional commander, and sectional training coordinator, all of these in the Southeast Region and Georgia District.  Since coming to the North Texas District he has served as district games coordinator for Pow Wow and Winter Camp, and Austin Sectional training coordinator as well as the North Texas district training coordinator.  Rick lives north of Austin with his wife Donna and attends Glad Tidings Austin where he is a Discovery Rangers commander.
